Oita, Japan – Day 12

Oita, Japan, Asia

Taxi to Oita...

Day 12 was all about the Rugby in Oita although I did have an early morning drama with the toilets power jet wash cleaning aid however I don’t want to turn you off your breakfast.

Dom and I slipped into our beautifully tailored England spa gowns and having organised through the fans group a random lift from a lady called Gayle we crammed into the tiniest of pink Daihatsu cars. Gayle although lovely, did drive like Ayrton Senna so the white knuckle ride in a pink noddy car was not quite how we expected to arrive at the game but beggars can’t be choosers.

The whole Rugby experience can only be summarised by the photos. Just a great day with the Japanese hospitality incredible and of course all was helped by the fact we won. A funny announcement as we walked out of the stadium was made for those fans travelling to Oita follow the left lane … for those wanting Qantas flights take the right lane ! Following the rugby we endured a long long bus journey back to Fukuoka but still managed to pop into town to celebrate in true style.

Observation...

"Yesterday’s observation - all Japanese bars come complete with a choice of different sized coat hangers."

Today...

Today we discover Fukuoka and catch the other two quarter finals….
