Tokyo to Taiwan – Day 27

Taiwan, Asia

Taiwan is calling but sad to be leaving...

It was finally time to leave Japan and head to Taiwan. What an incredible country and one that will live long in the memory not just for the people and the places I visited but also for the sport and dramas along the way.

Lisa my lovely travel buddy for the last week was heading home via Shanghai. We did have a laugh even though she called me Dom and forced me to drink beer and eat rancid Tofu. Lisa is looking for a job – she is a creative lead art director and designer and is widely travelled so if any of you tour ops/agents in London or the South East are after someone let me know and I can pass on her details. #getlisaatraveljob

So when we got to the rugby final the scramble was on for flights home. Airlines were knocking out crazy prices so the best and earliest deal I could find takes me first 😂 to Taiwan!

Flying Eva air I arrived late afternoon and went straight to my airport hotel having endured long queues at immigration and a last minute panic that I may need a visa!!

I overnighted at the airports Novotel with a Chinese dinner of stir fried chicken and noodles. Now at last was the time to crash and recharge. Sadly I won’t have any time to discover Taiwan as up early tomorrow!

"Yesterday’s observation – Taiwan coach drivers only speak Mandarin ! 🤦‍♂️"

Today I visit another country I have never been before so for now the adventure and my blog continues 😂
