Don’t wait until you are at the airport to buy your holiday read!

Choose to buy a book below and you will be asked to select a local independent bookshop from a map. If you do, they will receive 30% of the cover price on ALL of your orders for a year.

If you don’t make a choice, then 10% of the cover price of your order will contribute to an earnings pool that will be evenly distributed among participating independent bookshops each month.

Recommendations

Who better to recommend the best holiday book reads in 2024 than a travel blogger or someone in the holiday business, such as a travel agent, a tour operator or even an airline employee? Over the last few months, I have been on the lookout for book recommendations from across the travel industry. I have picked up online suggestions and invited my friends, colleagues and business partners to send me their best holiday reads, so here we are! In some cases there is also a link to their website or their social media page so if you need a Summer 2024 holiday, as well as a book, then why not get in touch with them?

Don't Shake The Mango Tree

Travel agent Kay Halton who is based in Scarborough and from Travel Counsellors recently took a holiday to Kalkan on the Turkish Mediterranean coast. While there, she read “Don’t Shake the Mango Tree” by Graeme Forbes Smith.

Kay said “its a fabulous book, I couldn’t put it down” and “I thoroughly enjoyed this fascinating Tanzanian real life adventure. Hopefully there will be a Part 2??”.

On a recent holiday to the Grecotel Kos Imperial Luxury Beach Resort in Kos, Greece, Caroline from the travel agency Travel Finesse Ltd in Bedworth, Warwickshire read “The Four Winds” by Kristin Hannah. Caroline said… “If you haven’t read this yet… I’d highly recommend it! Powerful and deeply moving… I couldn’t put it down!”
