There is something magical about taking UK, European or Worldwide rail journeys. In recent years I have experienced the magnificence of the Bullet train in Japan as well as the ever-efficient services in Europe which for me always start at London St Pancras with the wonderful Eurostar service over to France.
An adventure by rail offers a unique perspective allowing you to discover countries differently. The romance as you step on board a train and travel as our predecessors did during that golden age of rail travel is a thrill that seems to grow the older you get!
Some of the most iconic journeys in the world take place by rail – how about the Flying Scotsman here in the UK, the Rocky Mountaineer in Canada, The Rovos Rail in South Africa, the Venice Simplon Orient Express in Italy or how about the Trans Siberian Railway connecting Russia to the Far East.
