Driving Change

As the population of our planet increases the way we live our lives and as a result, the sustainability of our planet is in greater danger than ever before. So which Sustainable Cities of the World are taking the lead?

In recent years there have been many indicators that cannot have passed each one of us by – the harmful emissions, the intolerable levels of waste not to mention the extreme weather patterns that are now part of our daily lives.

As the younger generation look to drive change through governments that only now seem to be waking up to this threat, many eco-friendly cities are now looking at new ways to become more sustainable and address this global issue with improvements for residents, tourists and wildlife.

I was delighted to see this Sustainable Cities of the World report from Lonely Planet this week highlighting some of these sustainable cities that are leading the march and driving change.
